Mission Statement:
The
Mission of Jesus Frees Ministries is to team people and resources to reach the
world with the freeing power of Jesus Christ.
Vision Statement:
Jesus
Frees Ministries is a Spirit-led, non-denominational organization that is making
disciples while reinforcing, encouraging and comforting the impoverished.
Our Beginning:
The
Azusa Street Centennial Celebration in Los Angeles
definitely proved to be a divine appointment for Mike and Cheryl Freese. We were only able to take
in the Thursday and Friday evening meetings, but that was enough for God to
accomplish His plan for us to meet and partner with Pastor Wachira Karani from
Nyeri, Kenya. Pastor Wachira has been a minister for ten years. He was
ordained in Nairobi, Kenya by the Assemblies of God (which is headquartered in
Springfield, MO). He is the presbyter of his region as well and the mentor
pastor for the Christian Pastors’ Fellowship. Through this divine meeting God
sent us to Africa for an initial “shake down cruise” in June 2006 and we were
amazed to see the Work of God in Kenya!

THE
TRIP WAS PHENOMENAL! God's
call to Africa was confirmed to us in such a powerful way that we returned to
the States and formed a non-profit, tax exempt organization called, JESUS FREES MINISTRIES. We
have purchased a house in Nyeri, Kenya so we can house teams of people who are
called to come assist the work in Africa. We are in the process of selling
our Oregon home in order to scale down to a smaller house. We also hope to
purchase a 5th wheel trailer to spend the other half of the year
enlisting people in the United States who will CATCH
THE VISION FOR KENYA.
In his
10 years in ministry, the Lord has used Pastor Wachira to start 33 new
churches. He even has a church plant in Ethiopia of 700 converted Muslims. We
went to ½ of these churches and met and interviewed several of the Pastors. We
heard and saw awesome stories of dedication and sacrifice for the Kingdom of
God. The salvation of souls is always the most urgent need in any ministry.
The Apostle Paul reached the lost as he went from town to town spreading the
gospel and establishing churches.

Biography: Michael Freese
I was born and raised in
Oregon and my background and education are in Mechanical and Structural
Engineering. I am a licensed General Contractor and have been in the building
trade for 18 years. Before becoming a fulltime contractor I was a commercial
fisherman for twelve years. I now serve as Executive Director of Jesus Frees
Ministries. The Lord has called me to help design and coordinate the
building of Orphanages, High Schools, Clinics, Wells and Bible Schools.
I am a devoted follower of
Jesus Christ and although I believed in the Lord for many years, I didn’t serve
him with my whole heart. The events of the last several years have brought me
into a close relationship with Jesus Christ and Him crucified. And now instead
of building custom homes I want the Lord to use me as a tool to build His
Kingdom and instead of fishing for seafood I have become a fisher of men.
Biography: Cheryl Freese
Cheryl (Price)
(Moore) Freese grew up on the campus of S.C.C., now called Vanguard University
in Southern California.
Over the years her family ministered to thousands of college students. She also
attended S.C.C. in the 70’s. Cheryl was called into the music and preaching
ministry at an early age and as a teenager began writing songs and ministering
in churches in the Orange County area. After raising her 3 children, Cheryl
entered the business world and ten years later she left a successful business as
a packaging design consultant to become a full time minister.
Cheryl worked
for Pastor
Randy Jones at Valle Vista Assembly of God, Hemet, Ca. for eight
years (1997-2005) as a worship leader and choir director. On Wednesday evenings
she taught various topics ranging from marriage, parenting, blended families,
grief care and also classes associated with the Assemblies Global University.
As a worship
leader, Cheryl and her
late husband Dave, had
led the music for several Assembly of God Southern California District Council
events and Ladies Retreats. She has been the guest speaker at Royal Rangers
FCF Family Camps and taught classes on Blended Family issues for the Fresno
Women’s Ministries Energizer.
Cheryl is
ordained with the Independent Assemblies of God International.
She
is
currently living in
Bend,
Oregon serving as
Chair of the Bend OR Christian Women’s Club and working with her sister-in-law
and brother-in-law at Believer’s Cornerstone Fellowship. Her late husband, David Moore, who
was also licensed with I.A.O.G.I., finished his race and went home to be with
Jesus in 2005. He is greatly missed, but Cheryl was blessed by the Lord when He
sent her new husband, Michael Freese. Mike has the same call to foreign lands
and Cheryl is continuing to serve the Lord as President of Jesus Frees
Ministries.
“For years now God has been calling me
into missions work and has confirmed the call with prophetic words from reliable
men and women of God. Now the pieces of the puzzle are beginning to come
together.”
