CONSTRUCT A PERMANENT

HIGH SCHOOL

High School is not free in Kenya, so some students can’t afford to go to school. There are 600,000 young people who would like to attend, but there is only space for 260,000. Pastor Wachira has started a High School for disadvantaged teenagers and there are nearly 300 students meeting in a primitive, temporary structure. The temporary school is next to one of the church plants and is overseen by that Pastor. Some of the students live on the church grounds while others walk for miles each day for this awesome chance.
 

The volunteer teachers work for a VERY small wage or none at all. The students are learning math, history, language, etc., and their lives are being changed.  We were able to see the school and speak to each class and encourage them. We saw dedicated, respectful students who are achieving at the top percentiles for the country.  We saw the next leaders of Kenya!  Ten acres of land has been purchased and IT IS TIME TO BUILD A PERMANENT HIGH SCHOOL!
